I wanna visit this convention

Oh yes I could see a virus spread on this earthbound-inspired town and slowly the citizens become gray and disintegrate with the environment. And you see the grey pixels sink with this beat. Wicked tune. The minimal use of the instrument help build the atmosphere of the tune and the drums, being the dominant part for me, just melts your ears of the greatness. 5/5.

AliceMako responds:

Interesting trivia : earthbound got me hooked on steak. ( yes i am impressionable enough to get culinary ideas from video games )

The drums fall squarely on the c64 soundchip, just like the previous entry so my guess is you'll find your source of epic ear sex in that direction <3

Heavy

Those chips taste nasty! so nasty I want to eat more o' them! (I try...) the way the beat flows is great. the effects added on the instruments are always nice, I'm wondering is Aphex Twin an influence? nice melody on the second half of the tune, the minimalism and repetition helped build more interest in the piece as the piece progressed.

AliceMako responds:

Special fx courtsey of an eq unit in this case and yes richard david james is a major influence, though his work as polygon window and the tuss perhaps to a greater extent then his aphex twin project.

Well, this pair of tunes are compositions made afterwards, kind of like an attempt to recreate the overall feel my set had and all i played was minimal chip based industrial so as usual you are keenly perceptive.

Thanks :3

Great stuff.

Ambient if only for a while. Introducing that melody before the hi-speed breakz in wasnt a bad idea. The drums must have had the flu cause they were sick (yeh not a good joke.) Nice melody for the second half btw. Arpeggios :D

WinglessStudios responds:

lol i liked the joke, and thanx originaly it wasnt the plan for all that to happen buuut i listened to a bit of Erik Norlander and had a break through hahaha

Like a rainy day

Ah yes, even though it was a bit too much, the "muddy" sound fits no doubt. Why have clear pragmatic sounds for an ambient track? Damn nice melody delivered through first class ups/fed ex. You are right about the build up it was sick with the bass drums. Respectz. 5/5.

Make popcorn then

don't matter how corny it is it has the essentials for a great rock piece, you used the formula in a great way. Balance of melody and harmony is pleasing for my ears, the minimal bass and beat complement it, i see no flaw. Way to include extra layer of guitar on the second half. 5/5.

Bring forth the pain...

Oh yes timpani beatz sickest thing since growth spurs. Standard doom sounds but it kept a certain rhythm if you listen closely I likey and I like the build up. gratz n' kudo. 5/5.

AliceMako responds:

That is so true, they're cliché to a fault x3

After toying with the samples via randomly generated sequences, some failure left and right to get anything decent out of the keyboard and finally going for a manual recreation, they along with the strings where the only thing to stand out so i let that be as it sounded pretty dramatic.

Thank you graciously <3

lol yes!

I am hypnotized by this sound....I just....God Damn..... *Bows down.*

Longest epilouge I've heard

Sounds like I am in a space hospital waiting, smoking, in distress for something (nice pads btw.) Bow down to the primal bass/melody/rhythm no doubt. around the 1:00 to 2:00 mark. The drums in here had an amazing quality and stood out in my opinion (I think that was intended since the synthesizers stayed behind for parts of the song.) There sure is a lot of breathing involved with your music (you inspired by Pink Floyd?) Overall I really enjoy the atmosphere your songs create and they shine in terms of rhythm and quality. You got these dissonant parts and then these melodic parts, in a way its both balanced and not...idk what I am saying great work. 5/5.

WinglessStudios responds:

thankyou agian lol im glad you liked it lol and as for longest epilogue ever try agian, this is only part 1 out of three. due to the fact there is three composers we devided the epilogue into our own "solos" this was mine lol and each one will be ten minutes long too so in the end its 30 minute epilogue

thanx for the review

oh and no not pink floyd, never listened to him. For almost all of my work just Ayreon( Arjen Lucassen )

Give me a pen and a paper.

Oh man this is old school classic rpg tension moment music. The heartbeat, the organ like sound on the background, the build up. It has it all. 5/5.

Madness

no this isn't sparta.

This is a mix of consonant and dissonant sounds (in theory it excels.) The drum and bass pattern was superb imo and the effects were brutal. Great Job. Nice bass only ending. 5/5.

AliceMako responds:

We can still dine in hell though if you like, i hear the seafood's great this time of
year. The consonance/dissonance is actually due to happenstance, it just happened as i went along and you're spot on that it's madness.

(one look at the instrument rack i set up and repetition of tangled wires and
cross connections between audio splitters and effect devices used to replicate
the original synthesizer signals will confirm that)

My only regret is that inspite of all this technical grandeur and a new personal record in amount of devices used it's still a fairly uneventfull tune imo.

Anyhoo, many thanks for your analysis and kind words <3
